Our 2,700-acre lake, which is also a drinking water reservoir, offers a boating experience for those who enjoy being close to the water, but not in it. To ensure the best water quality, no body contact is allowed with the lake. Notwithstanding that restriction, you will find that the facilities will more than meet your expectations with two expansive launch ramps featuring clean restrooms adjacent to picnic areas with shaded gazebos, and at the main marina Executive Campsites close to the launch ramp.
With four floating restrooms for your convenience, you can explore the miles of coves and shoreline without ever having to leave the water. Boats must be at least 4' wide, a minimum of 11' feet, and are allowed up to a maximum of 35' in length; however boats between 26' and 35' in length must be inspected and approved by Park Staff and require a special boat permit. Canoes, kayaks and some inflatable boats are allowed. Call the Recreation Area Office for details (805)-649-2233. Experience the wonder of early morning canoe or kayaking with the mist rising off the lake.
