Positions for Part Time Staff can be available year round, but the majority of openings occur in the spring and early summer for the busy season from May through September. Positions for the Park include Gate Attendants, Reservationists and Maintenance Workers, and for the Casitas Water Adventure, Lifeguards, Park Attendants, Ticket Sales and Aquatic Technicians. Volunteers/Hosts

Day Use Volunteers and temporarily resident Park Hosts are an integral, invaluable resource for the Lake Casitas Recreation Area. Volunteers perform tasks such as helping with special events and maintaining the park. The functions of Park Hosts include greeting visitors and providing information, boat patrols, occasionally substituting for gate attendants, assisting at the Casitas Water Adventure, maintaining the playgrounds, picking up trash and maintaining campgrounds. They are also available as after-hours contacts. Additionally, our Hosts enjoy organizing their own social gatherings with coffee mornings and potluck BBQs.
